Terms of Service

The agreement between you and Fluenstra. Short, readable, and written so you can actually tell what you are agreeing to.

Last updated 31 July 2026

1. Agreeing to these terms

By creating a Fluenstra account or using fluenstra.com you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. You must be at least 16 years old to use Fluenstra.

2. What Fluenstra provides

Fluenstra provides English communication practice for freelancers: spoken practice calls with an AI client, a written report after each call, an AI communication coach called Maya, a members only Community, and live sessions with human English teachers. Fluenstra is a practice and coaching service. It is not an accredited educational institution, it does not award qualifications, and it is not a substitute for professional legal, financial or business advice.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything that happens under your account. One account is for one person. Please do not share your login, and tell us at hello@fluenstra.com if you think somebody else has access to it. Give us accurate information when you sign up.

4. The plan and payment

Fluenstra is offered as a single plan at $49 per month, which includes 12 AI practice calls, a report after each call, access to Maya, the Community and two live teacher sessions per month. Practice calls and teacher sessions reset at the start of each monthly period and do not carry over.

While we are onboarding our first members, payment is arranged directly with us by email rather than through an automated checkout. We will confirm in writing what you are paying, for what period, and when it renews. We may change the price in future, and if we do we will give existing members at least 30 days notice by email before it applies to them.

5. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel at any time by writing to hello@fluenstra.com. There is no contract and no cancellation fee. Your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, and your reports and history remain in your account.

If the service failed on our side and you did not get what you paid for, write to us and we will make it right, either by restoring what was lost or by refunding you. We would rather do that than keep money we did not earn.

6. Teacher sessions

Teacher sessions are live video sessions with human English teachers and are currently scheduled by email while automated booking is being built. Sessions are subject to teacher availability and your timezone. Please give reasonable notice if you cannot attend, so the slot can go to somebody else. Unused sessions do not carry into the following month.

By booking a session you agree that the teacher may read the practice call reports in your account, which is the entire point of the session.

7. Acceptable use

Please do not:

  • Use Fluenstra for anything unlawful, or to harass, deceive or harm anybody.
  • Share your account, resell access, or use the service on behalf of other people.
  • Attempt to access another member's account, calls, reports or messages.
  • Attempt to extract, scrape or automate the AI features, or use Fluenstra as a general purpose AI service for work unrelated to client communication.
  • Upload malicious files, or content you have no right to share.
  • Interfere with the platform, its security measures or its usage limits.

8. Community rules

The Community exists so freelancers can ask questions they find embarrassing. Be useful and be kind. No abuse, no harassment, no discrimination, no spam, no advertising, no recruiting, and no posting somebody else's private information. Remove or hide client details that identify a real person where you can. We may hide or remove content and suspend accounts that break these rules.

9. What artificial intelligence does and does not promise

The client you speak to on a practice call is an AI. Your report is written by an AI from the transcript of your call. Maya is an AI assistant, not a human employee.

AI output can be wrong. Scores are a coaching guide and not a formal assessment of your English. Suggested replies are drafts for you to judge before you send them. Always read anything Maya writes before sending it to a real client, and never rely on Fluenstra for legal, financial, medical or contractual advice.

Fluenstra does not promise that you will win clients, earn more money, or achieve any particular result. Anybody who promises that is selling you something else.

10. Your content

Everything you create or upload stays yours: your recordings, transcripts, reports, messages, uploads and Community posts. You give Fluenstra permission to store and process that content only so we can operate the service for you, as described in the Privacy Policy. If you post publicly in the Community, other members can read it. We do not claim ownership of your work and we do not use your content to train AI models.

11. Our intellectual property

The Fluenstra name, logo, website, software, scenarios, prompts, report structure and written material belong to Fluenstra. You may use them to use the service. You may not copy, resell or rebuild the platform, or use the Fluenstra name and branding in a way that suggests we endorse you.

12. Availability and changes

We work hard to keep Fluenstra running but we cannot promise it will be available without interruption. Features may be added, changed or removed as the product develops. If we make a significant change that reduces what your plan includes, we will tell members by email first.

13. Liability

Fluenstra is provided as it is. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fluenstra is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost clients, lost projects or lost income. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud or for anything that cannot lawfully be limited.

14. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, abuses the service, or puts other members at risk. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will warn you first and explain why. You can close your account at any time by writing to us.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh, and the courts of Dhaka, Bangladesh have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer in another country, this does not remove any protection you have under the mandatory law of the country you live in.

16. Contact
